Dr. DeFinnis, the founder of Berwick Dental Arts, opened a general dentistry practice in October of 1971. Dr. DeFinnis has a BA and DDS from Temple University. He graduated from Berwick Area High School in 1960. He also served 2 years in the US Army Dental Corps. Dr. DeFinnis is a current member and officer of many local boards, clubs and associations, winning the Distinguished Citizen Award in 1999. |

Dr Bishop, a native
of Norristown, Pennsylvania joined Berwick Dental Arts in 1975 after
completing his undergraduate and graduate degrees from Temple University.
Following dental school he spent 6 months as an instructor at Temple
University and worked with Thomas Balshi D.D.S., an internationally
recognized lecturer in cosmetic dentistry. Steven G. Bishop,
D.D.S. Dr. Bishop and his wife, Ruth, who has taught in the Berwick Area School System for 20 plus years, have three daughters, Jessica, Jocelyn, and Laura. Jessica has dental practice in Chapel Hill, NC. Jocelyn is general manager of a Lacy’s restaurant in Quakertown, Pa. and Laura is a recent graduate from Millersville University in communications. Dr. Bishop enjoys landscaping, gardening, and an ever increasing passion for golf. |

Bryan
P. Carlin, D.D.S. |
Dr. Bryan Carlin has
been with Berwick Dental Arts since his graduation from Temple Dental
School in 1984. Prior to that he graduated from the University of
Notre Dame in 1980. A longtime resident of Berwick, he attended
Berwick High School where he met his wife Roberta who is a Physical
Education teacher in the Berwick School District on the elementary
level. |

Susan D. Ermish, D.M.D.
Dr. Ermish, a native of Berwick, joined Berwick Dental Arts in November of 2001. Dr. Ermish graduated from Berwick High School in 1988 and completed her undergraduate and dental studies at Temple University in 1995. Following graduation from Dental School, Dr. Ermish served for 6 years as a Dental Officer in the United States Navy. During her naval career, she was stationed for one year at King’s Bay Naval Submarine Base, and next five years at Marine Corps Base Camp Lejuene, NC. While stationed at Camp Lejeune, Dr. Ermish was deployed overseas with the 22nd Marine Expeditionary Unit onboard the USS Bataan, which participated in both military and humanitarian operations in Kosovo, Egypt, Israel, and Jordan. Dr. Ermish now resides in Berwick with her husband, Todd Gunther, who teaches at Berwick Area Senior High School. During her spare time, Dr. Ermish enjoys fishing, watching Nascar racing, and spending time with her two cats, Smokey and Sonny, and her 3 bearded dragons, Rusty, Ryan, and Kurt.Dr. Ermish is a member of the Pa. Dental Association and American Dental Association.

Dr. Flook graduated locally from Berwick Area High School in 1996. He graduated from the University of Scranton in 2000 and from Temple University School of Dentistry in 2004. Dr. Flook worked at the Dental Health Clinic here in Berwick from 2004-2005. He is a member of the American Dental Association, the Academy of General Dentistry, the Pennsylvania Dental Association, the Third District Dental Society, and the Luzerne County Dental Society. Dr. Flook is Invasalign Certified.
